On credit agreements signed by Vnesheconombank and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation

State Corporation, Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (“VEB”) and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Limited (“SMBCE”), a subsidiary of Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corpration ("SMBC"), signed two medium term credit facilities and a memorandum of understanding.

The credit facilities and the memorandum of understanding were signed by Mr. Vladimir Dmitriev, Chairman of VEB, and by Mr. Jun Mizoguchi, CEO of SMBCE.

The total amount of the signed credit facilities is ?255 million – one credit facility is in the amount of ?213 million with the tenor of 5 years, and the other credit facility is in the amount of ?42 million with the tenor of 3 years.

The signing of these two credit facilities and the attractive terms of the financing granted by SMBC to VEB demonstrate the strong relationship between the two financial institutions and are viewed by both sides as a major new milestone in the development of the partnership relationship between VEB and SMBC.

Previously VEB and SMBC signed a number of agreements for the support of large-scale projects financed by VEB and the development of cooperation in various spheres, including the project for the construction of the new terminal at the Sheremetyevo international airport.
