On raising by Vnesheconombank a 3-year term syndicated loan for the sum of euro 335 million

On October 24, 2008, Vnesheconombank and a group of major international banks signed a Syndicated Loan Facility in the amount of Euro 335,000,000. The Facility has a three-year tenor and the loan interest rate is EURIBOR +0,75% per annum.

Barclays Capital (the investment banking division of Barclays Bank PLC), ING Wholesale Banking, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Ireland plc., Mizuho Corporate Bank Ltd, Societe Generale and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation Europe Ltd. act as Arrangers. ZAO KB Citibank and JP Morgan Chase Bank joined the Facility as Lead Arrangers. Barclays Capital acts as Co-ordinating Bookrunner and Documentation Agent while Societe Generale is Facility Agent.

Raising a syndicated loan against the backdrop of a credit crunch on competitive terms is another testament of Vnesheconombank’s status of a major and sound financial institution of the Russian Federation.

The funds raised by Vnesheconombank are intended for financing the Bank’s current credit and investment activities.
