Transcript of the meeting’s beginning:

V.V.Putin: How are things going? What’s new?

V.A. Dmitriev: In general, everything is OK.

V.V. Putin: And what about lending to the economy?

V.A. Dmitriev: There is an issue we’d like to submit to consideration of our Supervisory Board. We would like to report on our activity on lending to the economy within the framework of the Governmental Commission on Sustainable Development of the Russian Economy and your instructions on increasing VEB’s loan portfolio.

As agreed upon with other state banks, Vnesheconombank is scheduled to account for 60 billion rubles in new money to be used to finance the real economy. In July, we exceeded the target of 31 billion rubles we set ourselves earlier for financing such real economy sectors as the military industrial complex, infrastructure, Olympic facilities, agriculture and a number of others.

V.V. Putin: All right. What other central and crucial issues, in your opinion, should be put on the agenda for the next meeting of VEB’s Supervisory Board?

V.A. Dmitriev:  We are planning to discuss limits with regard to two very important, to our mind, projects: this is our further financing of the infrastructure of the oil and oil products transshipment complex in the city of Ust-Luga. The financing amount is about 15 billion rubles. We are also staring to implement the Green Street project we discussed at the meeting you chaired on the shipbuilding complex. It’s a factory in Primorsk, not far from Vyborg, where high-tech large tankers and LNG tankers are planned to be manufactured and launched.

V.V. Putin: Is this going to be the Shtokman field?

V.A. Dmitrierv: Including the Shtokman field. The project is worth about 28 billion rubles.

V.V. Putin: All right
