On signing Agrement between Vnesheconombank, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. and ZAO Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Eurasia)

State Corporation “Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)”, The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. and ZAO Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Eurasia) entered into a Framework Cooperation Agreement.

On behalf of Vnesheconombank the Agreement was signed by Mr. Peter Fradkov, Deputy Chairman, on behalf of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. – by Mr. Shoji Nakano, Executive Officer, General Manager of European Business Division, on behalf of ZAO Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Eurasia) – by Mr. Kazuyuki Futamura, President, ZAO Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Eurasia).

Under the Agreement the financial institutions are planning to promote cooperation in supporting exports, implementing investment projects in the Russian Federation that provide for the availability of Japanese exports.

The Agreement also provides for cooperation in trade and structured financing and in supporting the customers of The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. interested in establishing enterprises and participating in projects implemented on the territory of the Russian Federation.

The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd (BTMU) is one of the oldest banks in Japan, established in 1919. BTMU has a wide range of domestic (792) and overseas (436) subsidiaries and branches. The Bank’s equity capital as of March 31^st 2009, have amounted to YEN 6,8 trillion (USD 70,7 billion). The Bank is represented in Russia by a subsidiary bank ZAO Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Eurasia). The charter capital of the bank is amounted to 2,9 billion rubles.
