Krasnogorsk’s Five-Star Hotel Construction to Receive RUB21.8bn from VEB.RF

VEB.RF and Crocus City Hotel (Crocus Group) have signed a loan agreement to finance the construction of a five-star hotel complex in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, near Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center.

Timur Temirgaliev, Managing Director, VEB.RF:

“The project has been selected under the subsidised lending programme run by the Russian Ministry of Economic Development to support tourism infrastructure projects. Low-interest loans of 21.8 billion roubles are planned to be used for the purchase of equipment and materials, improvement and decorative finishing. The total investment project value is tentatively estimated at 27.2 billion roubles. The hotel is primarily suited for conference guests, it is intended that 60% of the demand will come from business tourists who attend corporate events and conferences in Moscow.”

The project will create 1,322 new jobs and generate 20.1 billion roubles in federal tax revenues.

The business plan involves building a 40-storey hotel complex with conference areas, meeting rooms, restaurants and recreational facilities.

Crocus Group has already invested about 5 billion roubles in the construction project, with the first seven floors being already built. The commissioning is scheduled for the first quarter of 2029.
