VEB.RF and its Partners to Invest over 2 Trillion Roubles in Transarctic Transport Corridor Projects

“VEB.RF contributes to the development of the Russian Arctic Zone and Transarctic Transport Corridor,” said Deputy Chairman of VEB.RF Artem Dovlatov at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025.

“VEB.RF is actively involved in this agenda, it makes investments in the construction and rehabilitation of ports, development of railway infrastructure and also finances consignment projects. VEB.RF supports the projects in key population centres by creating infrastructure for living, finances the construction of airport terminals in Murmansk, Khabarovsk, Magadan, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, Vladivostok and other cities. Our major projects include financing of port infrastructure, from Lavna in Murmansk to Sukhodol in the Far East,” specified Artem Dovlatov.

The task of developing the Transarctic Transport Corridor (TTC) as an integrated transport and infrastructure system was formulated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The President instructed VEB.RF to create a Project Office. According to Artem Dovlatov, its goal is to provide expert advice to the government to define government support measures, prioritise projects, arrange syndication and blended financing and attract international partners. The Project Office is designed as a government tool to actively cooperate with all platforms involved in the agenda. “VEB.RF makes efforts to attract investment to new TTC projects, to provide expertise and support to both Russian and international investors”, said Artem Dovlatov at the New International Trade Routes session. In the long term, this will strengthen Russia’s position in the global world and contribute to a stable economy.
