VEB.RF, Skolkovo and Voskhod to Provide Support for Far Eastern Innovations

On the sidelines of the Russian Venture Forum, VEB.RF, the Skolkovo Foundation (part of the VEB.RF Group) and Voskhod Venture Capital announced TechnoVostok 2030, a programme to find and promote innovative technology in the Far East. Funding for the programme totals 200 million roubles. The closing date for applications is 28 May 2025. The winners will be announced at the Eastern Economic Forum in September 2025.

The first stage is designed to preselect 200 projects, 50 of which will go through an acceleration process at the second stage. The accelerator will include education, mentorship, legal and financial due diligence, and assistance in pitching to investors and partners for the pilot introduction of their economic solutions into the Far Eastern Federal District. It is intended that a total of 15–25 projects will become the winners of TechnoVostok 2030, and the best projects will be selected on the sidelines of the anniversary edition of the 10th Eastern Economic Forum.

The main areas where projects will be selected are industrial engineering, energy, environmental protection, information technology, biomedicine, agricultural technology and tourism.

The winning projects will receive grants distributed among the following three main tracks:

  • Entrepreneurship: support for technology companies with completed R&D and plans to bring their products to market or expand a market for them;
  • University: support for university start-ups looking to conduct R&D and bring their high-technology products to market;
  • Innovation: support for innovative solutions introduced into the Far East using local resources.

Implemented jointly with the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and Arctic, the programme involves the regional authorities and heads of Far Eastern local governments in association with leading universities, development institutions, industrial companies and venture capital partners.

As a partner in the project, Voskhod Venture Capital will invest in the programme participants selected by the accelerator.
