VEB.RF and Transmashholding to Jointly Implement Transport Engineering Projects

During the expert session held by VEB.RF and the Transmashholding Group with support from the Engineering Workers Guild at VEB.RF’s Urban Laboratories on 26 June 2024, representatives of VEB.RF, Transmashholding and the plants within the Transmashholding Group discussed promising transport engineering projects.

State Development Corporation VEB.RF and the Transmashholding Group (TMH) are planning to implement new transport engineering projects totalling RUB20bn.

The experts discussed topical issues of structuring transport engineering projects, in particular, preparing investment proposals, gaining government support, as well as monitoring and supporting projects both by creditors and project initiators, and exemplified successful projects totalling RUB144.6bn.

The session’s resolutions include creating a working group comprising representatives of VEB.RF, Transmashholding and the plants within the Transmashholding Group and focused on structuring and implementing projects, as well as monitoring the implementation phase.

VEB.RF’s and TMH’s partnership is aimed at stimulating the development of domestic transport engineering, creating new jobs and improving the sectoral competitiveness.

VEB.RF Deputy Chairman and Bureau Member of the Russian Engineering Workers Guild Daniil Algulyan: “We are facing significant challenges of upgrading the existing production facilities of the machine building industry. The strategic session with participation of VEB.RF and TMH has demonstrated enormous potential for developing the domestic transport engineering. The systemic processes built prove a willingness to carry out a large-scale transformation.”

TMH General Director and Bureau Member of the Russian Engineering Workers Guild Kirill Lipa: “A professional approach of VEB.RF’s employees, their genuine desire to make a significant contribution to Russia’s development will help to create effective mechanisms for providing resources to finance nationally significant projects.
