VEB.RF and Khabarovsk Territory Expand Cooperation in Key Regional Projects

VEB.RF and Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) organised a business mission in the Khabarovsk Territory to promote promising regional projects, including constructing a new building of the Far Eastern Art Museum, modernising the Ussuri Sanatorium and developing the year-round sports and tourist centre Khekhtsir.

During the business mission, the region showed its production facilities for gas-refuelled and electric buses. When operating at full capacity in 2037, the plant will be able to supply 1,400 vehicles per annum to the Far Eastern market.

Heads of development institutions were informed about the construction of a new terminal for international airlines at Khabarovsk Airport. Currently, the project is 65% complete and commissioning is scheduled for Q1 2025.

“The VEB.RF’s Group expertise and competencies allow it to be deeply involved in achieving this goal. Our portfolio includes ten terminals that have already been constructed or modernised, three of them in the Far East and the Arctic. VEB.RF is currently financing the construction of terminals in five Far Eastern municipalities. We are considering eight more projects totalling RUB100bn, in particular in the Far East,” said VEB.RF Chairman Igor Shuvalov.
