VEB.RF Provides Financing to Plastic Packaging Plant in Yaroslavl Region

VEB.RF granted an interest-free loan of RUB250mn to a plant in Rostov, Yaroslavl Region, Russia, to launch the production of food plastic packaging. VEB.RF’s investment will help to create 120 new jobs and increase the plant’s total annual capacity up to 5,000 tonnes. The plant expects its products to be in demand not only in the domestic but also in the CIS markets.

“It is a real pleasure to open new production facilities in a monotown. This is the fifth project implemented by VEB.RF in cooperation with the Yaroslavl Region government in recent years, with about 1,000 jobs created and above RUB4bn invested. We would like to thank the Governor of the Yaroslavl Region Mikhail Evraev and the whole municipal and regional team, and especially the investors who are deeply committed to the development of the Yaroslavl Region. We are always looking for new challenging projects,” said, VEB.RF Chief Managing Partner for Urban Development Irina Makieva.
