An Official Opening Ceremony of Vnesheconombank’s Representative Office in the City of Yekaterinburg was held

An official opening ceremony of Representative Office of State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ was held on October 19, 2010.

A decision to open VEB’s Representative Office was made by Vnesheconombank’s Supervisory Board to secure the Bank’s active participation in the largest investment projects and development programs in the regions of the Urals Federal District.

The Representative Office has already started to promote the Bank’s interests in the Federal District looking for and selecting promising investment projects aimed at developing infrastructure, innovations, special economic zones, protecting environment, promoting exports of Russian products, works and services, implementing comprehensive mono-cities investment plans.

The participants in the opening ceremony of the Bank’s Representative Office said that its successful activity would help to effectively implement investment projects aimed at encouraging economic growth in the Urals regions.

At present, Vnesheconombank’s Representative Offices on the Russian territory are operating in Saint-Petersburg, Khabarovsk and Yekaterinburg.
