The Magazine Trade Finance Awards the ‘Best Deal of the Year’ Award to Projects with Vnesheconombank’s Participation

The British Magazine Trade Finance awarded the ‘Best Deal of the Year 2010’ awards to two projects financed with Vnesheconombank’s participation: modernization of the Khabarovsk oil refinery, construction of a polypropylene integrated plant in the city of Tobolsk.

The amount of investments in modernizing the Khabarovsk oil refinery is 1.297 billion US dollars, with Vnesheconombank’s participation share being 767.5 million US dollars.

The amount of investments in the Tobolsk Polymer project is 2.429 billion dollars, with Vnesheconombank’s participation share being 1.441 billion US dollars.

These projects were implemented on the principles of export-import and project financing with raising (up to 10 and 13 years respectively) financing from a syndicated of foreign banks against foreign export insurance agencies’ coverage.

The Organizing Committee of the Competition in 2010 considered more than 250 applications for the award.

The Magazine Trade Finance is incorporated in Euromoney Publishing Group. It specializes in publishing materials on project, trade and export-import financing and analyzes projects implemented on these principles.
