During the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), VEB Group inked a shipbuilding contract with Sovcomflot Group and Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex.
Rosneft CEO Igor Sechin, Sovcomflot Chief Executive and President Sergey Frank, and VEB-Leasing Chief Executive Artem Dovlatov exchanged documents in the presence of President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
In compliance with the contract, Zvezda will be commissioned to build two new-generation Aframax oil supertankers, with financing provided by VEB-Leasing.
