VEB Group is building up its support for the Russian non-commodity exports via lending and leasing arrangements

Vnesheconombank Group and the Belarusian Railway’s Minsk Division have signed a lease agreement for twenty couchette cars manufactured by Railway Car-Building Works Tver.

The deal provides for the supply of advanced passenger railcars designed to reach speeds of up to 160 km per hour and equipped with air conditioners, eco-friendly toilet facilities, a water and air decontamination system, video surveillance cameras, and fire alarms.

“We will ramp up the financing of exports of Russian transport engineering products via lending and leasing, including by taking advantage of the capabilities of VEB’s subsidiaries in the EAEU countries,” noted Daniil Algulyan, Senior Vice President and Head of International Business, Exports, and Financial Institutions at Vnesheconombank.

The railcars have already arrived at the Minsk Pasažyrski Railway Station and will be soon put into service at the most popular destinations.
