Another Sukhoi Superjet100 (SSJ 100) has joined the aircraft fleet of Aeroflot. The new jet is the fifteenth aircraft delivered to Aeroflot under a contract between VEB-Leasing, Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA), and the airline for the supply of twenty such jets. It will be the forty-fifth SSJ-100 in Aeroflot’s fleet.
“VEB-Leasing is involved in the work on Russia’s economic priorities. Supporting the aircraft building industry and enhancing transport accessibility across Russia are among our key targets in civil aviation,” comments Deputy Chairman at Vnesheconombank and Acting CEO at VEB-Leasing, Artem Dovlatov.
The jet bearing the number RA-89113 has been named A. Maresyev after the legendary Soviet pilot. SSJ 100 is set in a two-class configuration offering 12 business class seats, and 75 seats in economy class. In the coming weeks, the jet will already be performing flights to regular destinations within Aeroflot’s network.
Sukhoi Superjet 100 (SSJ 100) is a leading-edge civil short- and medium-haul aircraft designed and manufactured in Russia by Sukhoi Civil Aircraft (SCA). The design of SSJ 100 features advanced solutions for efficient performance and a comfortable passenger journey. SCA’s product lineup includes commercial SSJ 100 jets, Sukhoi Business Jets, and special purpose aircraft. SSJ 100 has been in commercial operation since 2011.
VEB-Leasing is part of Vneshecnombank Group since 2008. The company is a strategic asset of VEB Group and provides support to the Russian economy via lease instruments. Key areas of its operation include the lease of advanced aircraft, high-tech equipment, rolling stock, sea- and river-going vessels, motor vehicles, and special machinery.
