Vnesheconombank’s Senior Vice President and Head of Legal Directorate Igor Krasnov attended the Kazan Legal 2017 international legal forum. Speaking at the Doing Business in Foreign Markets: Managing the Risks panel session, he emphasised the importance of efforts to promote Russia’s non-resource exports taken by VEB Group across jurisdictions.
Vnesheconombank has been promoting a wider use of mediation for more successful and productive resolution of disputes. “Intermediary and mediation services will be really appreciated by and helpful to the modern companies as they interact in the course of their business. To create the new competence centre, VEB Group will use the best practices of Russian and foreign top economics and law experts. In the nearest future, we will be able to offer this advanced controversy resolution mechanism to our partners and opponents,” said Mr. Krasnov.
The VEB chief legal officer also said he was convinced that in the modern world, there is no alternative to peaceful development and cooperation. In this context, the legal community is to bring about new legal tools, with which people will be able to beneficially use advanced technology.
