VEB to take part in “Blockchain: New Oil of Russia” all-Russia conference and to act as co-organizer of “Blockchain in Action” hackathon
Sergey Gorkov, Chairman of Vnesheconombank, is taking part in the “Blockchain: New Oil of Russia” conference in Kazan, on 27-29 August. VEB will serve as a federal partner at the conference.
The event will bring together top mangers and CEOs of high-technology companies, government officials, and developers who will discuss the major global challenges that face blockchain technology, alternative business-scenarios, major blockchain trends and prospects, as well as possible legal developments associated with this new technology.
In the context of the conference, the Bank’s officials will participate in relevant events. Furthermore, VEB intends to sign a number of partnership agreements.
On the first and second days of the conference, VEB is to launch the “Blockchain in Action” federal hackathon for developers of blockchain products applicable in public and corporate governance. In terms of the number of participants, the hackathon is to become the largest ever in Europe. The hackathon in Kazan is organized by the Tatarstan Investment Development Agency and the Kazan IT Park. The MISiS National University of Science and Technology (NUST MISiS) will function as a technological partner of the federal hackathon”.
The plenary meeting “Blockchain as Mechanism of Industrial Revolution” with Sergey Gorkov as a speaker is scheduled for the third day of the conference. One of the most important discussions, “Regulatory Environment and Blockchain Application in the Public Sector”, will be moderated by Gleb Yun, Senior Vice President of Vnesheconombank. On the same day, Vladimir Dyomin, Adviser to Vnesheconombank Chairman, will moderate the “Blockchain Application and Industry Future” brainstorming session.
