VEB and Development Bank of Kazakhstan Discuss Instruments for Exporter Financial Support

In the course of the meeting of the Council of the SCO Interbank Consortium, Vnesheconombank and Development Bank of Kazakhstan signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).


On behalf of VEB, the document was signed by First Deputy Chairman of Vnesheconombank, Member of the Management Board Mikhail Poluboyarinov, and on behalf of the Development Bank of Kazakhstan – by Chairman of the Board Bolat Zhamishev.

The parties agreed to promote trade and economic relations between the businesses, companies and financial institutions of Russia and Kazakhstan with the goal of creating favourable conditions for implementing mutually advantageous foreign economic transactions between the development institutions of both countries.

The banks also intend to develop and evaluate different mechanisms and instruments for financial and credit support of export and import operations conducted by their countries’ companies and to set up a collaborative mechanism for financing reciprocal trading in industrial products.
