Production of household gas stoves commissioned in Orenburg Region with VEB’s financial support

OOO TPK Orskie Zavody commissioned a facility in Orsk (Orenburg Region) to produce household gas stoves. The official ceremony was attended by Yury Berg, Governor of Orenburg Region, and Sergey Gorkov, Chairman of Vnesheconombank.

The project has been delivered with financial support from Vnesheconombank. OOO TPK Orskie Zavody is a wholly-owned subsidiary of VEB Capital (VEB Group).

Sergey Gorkov and Yury Berg familiarized themselves with the gas stove production cycle and assembly technology. The current productive capacity of the facility is up to 100 thousand household stoves per year. Primarily oriented towards the Russian market, the products are also to be exported to the near abroad and Central Asia.

Furthermore, OOO TPK Orskie Zavody used its site to launch the production of refrigerators. In 2012, seeking to reduce social tensions, VEB made a decision to restart the production of household appliances. To this end, VEB extended RUB 920mn worth of loan funds to OOO TPK Orskie Zavody. June 2014 saw the production of the legendary Orsk refrigerators resumed. Today, the current output reaches 120 thousand refrigerators per year to be increased in future to 300 thousand. The Orsk refrigerators are in demand on the domestic market, with 10-15% of production being exported to the near abroad.

Overall, there are 895 people engaged in work on the site. This year, 47 jobs have been created for the production of household stoves. Since the restart of production in 2014, payments to the budgets of various levels have exceeded RUB 173mn.
