The Development Award ceremony was held as part of the 19thPetersburg International Economic Forum. The Award was instituted by Vnesheconombank.
This year’s Development Award went to the following projects:
- In the nomination the “Best Infrastructure Project”: Construction and Operation of a Motorway “The Western High-Speed Diameter” LLC Northern Capital Highway;
- In the nomination “theBest Project in Industrial Sectors”: Creation and Modernization of Deep Wood Processing Integrated Production Facilities in the city of Sosnovoborsk and the village of Verkhnepashino of the Krasnoyarsk Territory LLC Sibles Project;
- In the nomination “the Best Project on the Comprehensive Development ofTerritories” – Special Economic Zone of Industrial-Production Type “Alabuga”OJSC Special Economic Zone of Industrial-Production Type;
- In the nomination the Best Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Project: Prosthetic Orthotic Disability Comprehensive Rehabilitation and Prevention CenterLLC Medical Rehabilitation Center “Ortho”;
- In the nomination the Best Project in Innovations and High Technologies: Development of High Technology Inertial Satellite Navigation System of NSI series on laser gyroscopes and development of laser gyroscope base plates nano-polishing technology CJSC LAZEKS;
- In the nomination the Best Project in Ecology and Green Technologies: Construction of the First Solar Grid Power Station in Russia with a capacity of 5 Mwatt in the village of Kosh-Agach of the Altai Republic LLC
- In the nomination the Best Export Project: Upgrading CHPP-4 in Ulan Bator with Installation of Turbo-Generator with a Turbine, Mongolia CJSC the Urals Turbine Plant;
- In the nomination the Best Project with Foreign Investments Participation: Reconstruction and Upgrading of the Pulkovo airport on the Basis of Public Private Patnership LLC Air Gaates of Northern Capital
The awards were presented by Sergei Ivanov, Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation, and Vladimir Dmitriev, Chairman of Vnesheconombank.
The CompetitionCommittee received 289 applications from 60 regions of the Russian Federation. Most of the applications were in the nomination “the Best Small and Medium-Sized Enterprise Project” – 69, in the nomination “the Best Project in Industrial Sectors” – 50, in the nomination “the Best Project on the Comprehensive Development of Territories” – 15, in the nomination “the Best Infrastructure Project” – 42, in the nomination the Best Project in Innovations and High Technologies – 45, in the nomination the Best Project in Ecology and Green Technologies - 43, in the nomination the Best Export Project – 15, in the nomination the Best Project with Foreign Investments Participation, which was instituted in December of 2014– 3.29 projects became nominees of the Award.
The Development Award for contributing to sustainable socio-economic development of Russia was instituted by State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ in 2012.The Development Award is a professional award conferred on legal and natural entities for implementing major investment projects and programs of national significance that made a significant contribution to Russia’s socio-economic development.
