Vnesheconombank to Promote the Comprehensive Development of Territories

In the course of the Petersburg International Economic Forum-2013 State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ signed the following agreements in order to establish strategic partnership and promote long-term effective cooperation in the investment activity with constituent entities of the Russian Federation:

  • Agreement on Cooperation with the Government of the Kaluga Region 

  • Agreement on Cooperation with the Government of the Kirov Region 

  • Agreement on Cooperation with the Government of the Leningrad Region

The parties intend to cooperate in raising funds to fund investment projects to be implemented among other things on the principles of public private partnership, work out schemes for their implementation, cooperate in preparing evaluations of projects and enhance the development of small and medium-sized enterprises.

The parties also agreed to hold regular meetings of their representatives to discuss the course of implementation of these Agreements, coordination and development of joint action plans and programs.

The Agreements’ implementation would stimulate investment activity, address top-priority objectives of regions’ socio-economic development and boost their economic and industrial potential
