Vnesheconombank and the Kemerovo Region Intend to Enhance Cooperation on the Comprehensive Development of the Region’s Territory

State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)’ and the Collegium of the Kemerovo Region Administration entered into an Agreement on Cooperation as well as approved a Joint Action Plan for the Comprehensive Development of the Kemerovo Region for a Period of 2012-2015.

The Documents were signed by Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev and - by Governor of the Kemerovo Aman-Geldy Tuleev.

Vnesheconombank regards the Kemerovo region as its strategic partner. The parties intend to cooperate in working out proposals for funding investment projects to be implemented among other things on the terms of public private partnership as well as develop mechanisms for their implementation, cooperate in preparing projects opinions and participate in providing support for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The parties are to give top priority to projects designed to create clusters in mechanical engineering, chemistry, construction industry, among other things as part of creating agro-industrial and industrial parks.

The Joint Action Plan for the Comprehensive Development of the Region’s Territory was worked out with due regard to the region’s socio-economic development priorities and will enable to use instruments and capabilities of Vnesheconombank’s subsidiary companies. The plan’s implementation will make it possible to enhance the Kemerovo region’s economic and industrial potential.

The Collegium of the Kemerovo Region Administration plans to submit 16 projects in the total amount of 139.7 billion rubles, with Vnesheconombank’s and its subsidiary companies’ potential participation share being about 90.8 billion rubles, for consideration by Vnesheconombank.
