Vnesheconombank Starts to Participate in the 16th Petersburg International Economic Forum

In the course of the 2012 Petersburg International Economic Forum Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev participated in a plenary sitting “Effective Leadership” as well as in a session “The Russian Direct Investment Fund”: The First Results of the Forum”.

On the Forum’s first day Vnesheconombank signed: A Memorandum on Cooperation with the Rostov Region Government and the Fund for the Promotion of International Ties and Cooperation “Dobrososedstvo” (Good Neighborhood). This project’s implementation will enhance the development of research, technical and innovation activity on the region’s territory and will also help to address employment and job placement issues in the Rostov region.

An Agreement on Cooperation with the Pskov Region Administration. The parties intend to cooperate in making arrangements for funding investment projects to be implemented among other things on the PPP principles, work out schemes for funding them, cooperate in preparing expert opinions on projects and participate in providing financial support for SMEs. Top priority is to be given to projects aimed at developing the region’s timber industrial complex, communal services and social sectors.
