Vnesheconombank Participates in the 10th Sochi 2011 International Investment Forum

Vnesheconombank participated traditionally in the Sochi International Investment Forum in 2011. The Bank acted as the Forum’s Bronze Sponsor. At its booth at the Forum Vnesheconombank presented a virtual interactive tour of the Olympic facilities funded by VEB.

In the course of the Forum Vnesheconombank organized and held a round table discussion “Russia-Europe: Strategy, Dialogue, Investments” attended by representatives of the largest international investment funds, state-run organizations and banks.

In the course of the Forum Vnesheconombank signed the following agreements:

  • Credit agreements with LLC Ford Sollers Holding, LLC Ford Sollers Elabuga and CJSC Ford Motor Company for a total amount of 36 billion rubles. The funds are intended for funding the investment project aimed at setting up a joint venture FORD SOLERS to manufacture cars and commercial automobiles as well as all-roaders with a capacity of 350 thousand automobiles per year with a target localization level of at least 60% including manufacturing of power units in Russia.
  • The Memorandum on Cooperation in implementing investment projects and initiatives of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote new Projects. The Memorandum is designed to promote and implement unique business projects, improve business climate, identify and overcome obstacles to the development of medium-size enterprises, create positive image of “New Business” projects for the Russian business community.
  • The Agreement on Conducting Comprehensive Expert Examination of Projects to reconstruct railways stations of Sochi, Loo, Khosta, Lazarevskoye, Tuapse with OJSC RZHD-Development of Railway Stations (a 100% subsidiary of OJSC RZHD).
  • The Credit Agreement worth 1.2 billion rubles with LLC Arkhyz-1650. The funds are provided to finance expenses for a period od of 2011-2012 on the construction of the first startup complex of the Arkkhyz all-season mountain resort in the Karachaevo-Cherkess Republic as part of creating a tourist cluster in the North Caucasus. The project’s total value is 6.4 billion rubles. The limit established by the Bank is 5 billion rubles.
  • Credit agreements with the Republics of Ingushetia, North Ossetia – Alania, the Karachaevo-Cherkess Republic that provide for cooperation between the parties on raising funds to finance investment projects including those on the conditions of public private partnership, working out schemes for their financing and making arrangements for providing support for SMEs.
  • The Agreement on Cooperation in implementing the investment project on building the Kazbek innovation construction technopark. The technopark is to include plants to manufacture aerated concrete blocks and plates, fiber-cements sheets, dry construction mixes and construction lime. The project’s total value is 4.98 billion rubles.
  • The Agreement on providing investment consulting services with OJSC Resorts of the North Caucasus. Under the Agreement Vnesheconombank is to provide investment consulting services on the project aimed at creating a tourist cluster in the North Caucasus Federal District. A pilot project as part of creating a tourist cluster is the project to build the first startup complex of the Arkhyz all-season mountain resort.
  • The Credit Agreement with OJSC the Tutaev CCPP to fund the project to build a combined cycle power plant in the city of Tutaev (the Yaroslavl region). The Agreement provides for Vnesheconombank to provide credit resources worth 2.4 billion rubles for a period of 15 years to construct a combined heat and power cogeneration plant. The project’s total value is 3 billion rubles.
