Vnesheconombank Participates In the 10th MAKS-2011 International Aerospace Salon

In the course of the 10^th  MAKS-2011 International Aerospace Salon Vnesheconombank and OJSC VEB-Leasing Entered into a Number of Agreements

Vnesheconombank (official sponsor of the MAKS-2011):

• A Memorandum on Cooperation in Implementing the Investment Project on Creating the MI-38 Multipurpose Helicopter with OJSC Helicopters of Russia. The Memorandum provides for the Bank’s possible participation in funding research and development work on developing and manufacturing the MI-38 Helicopter, its certification and preparation for batch production. The Bank’s total financing amount in the project might be up to 3.2 billion rubles for a period of 8 years.
• An Agreement on Cooperation with DOSAAF of Russia. The Agreement provides for exploring the possibility for arranging financing of projects aimed at developing DOSAAF of Russia infrastructure facilities to be implemented among other things on the terms of public private partnership.

OJSC VEB-Leasing:

• A Long-Term Lease Agreement between VEB-Leasing and YUTair Airline and the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft. The Agreement provides for VEB-Leasing to purchase 24 Sukhoi Superjet 100 aircraft from the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft and lease them out to YUTair Airline. The Transaction’s total amount is 760.8 million US dollars.
• A Memorandum on Cooperation in developing the aviation leasing market in Russia and CIS countries with Airbus S.A.S. Airbus Company intends to assist OJSC VEB-Leasing in developing aviation leasing services on purchasing Airbus plane and leasing them out to Russia’s and CIS countries’ airlines

VEB is not planning to sell its stake in OJSC Ilyushin Finance Co in the near future

INTERFAX. Zhukovsky, August 17 – Vnesheconombank is not planning to sell its 21.4% stake in Ilyushin Finance Co (IFC), Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev told journalists about it at the MAKS-2011 Aerospace Salon.

“So far we are not holding talks on our stake”, he said.

V.Dmitriev added that VEB was not planning to increase its stake in this leasing company. Moreover, he said planes had been supplied recently largely through VEB-Leasing. “We have continuing contracts with IFC and we are going to complete them”, he said. Answering questions on the prospects for supplying MS-21 planes by VEB-Leasing he said: ‘We are discussing this issue with companies and here I mean leasing of aircraft and leasing of equipment.”.

VEB is ready to invest 3.2 billion rubles in the M-38 project implemented by Helicopters of Russia

ZHUKOVSKY (Moscow region), August 17 – RIA Novosti. Vnesheconombank is ready to invest about 3.2 billion rubles for a period of eight years in implementing the project to create the MI-38 helicopter. A Memorandum on this was signed on Wednesday between VEB and Helicopters of Russia at the MAKS-2011.

A new transport/passenger helicopter Mi-38 was presented at the MAKS-2011 Aerospace Show in the city of Zhukovsky outside Moscow the day before.

On behalf of Vnesheconombank the Memorandum was signed by Board Member, Vnesheconombank Deputy Chairman Anatoly Ballo and on behalf of Helicopters of Russia – by its Director General Dmitry Petrov.

The Memorandum provides for exploring the possibility for Vnesheconombank’s participation in funding research .and development work on developing and manufacturing the MI-38 Helicopter, its certification and preparation for batch production.

Under the Memorandum Vnesheconombank plans to conduct expert examination of certain transactions and in case of positive expert examination results the Bank will consider the possibility for funding the project.

The Mi-38 medium transport/passenger helicopter is designed to carry passengers as well as cargoes inside the cabin and using external load sling system, conduct search-and-rescue operations, provide air support for offshore development operations. The helicopter can also be equipped as a flying hospital.

VEB, YUTair and the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft sign an agreement on leasing out 24 Sukhoi Superjet 100 planes

Zhukovsky, August 17 – PRIME. In the course of Russia Prime Minister Vladimir Putin’s visit to the MAKS-2011, OJSC VEB-Leasing, OJSC YUTair Airline and CJSC The Sukhoi Civil Aircraft signed an Agreement on purchasing and leasing out 24 Sukhoi Suprjet planes.

The Agreement was signed by Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev, YUTair Director General Andrei Martirosov and United Aircraft Construction Corporation Head Mikhail Pogosyan.

Sukhoi Suprjt 10 is a short-haul passenger airliner capable of carrying up to 98 passengers to a distance of up to 4 thousand kilometers, it has LR/long range option. In February of 2011, SSSJ100 received AR IAC type certificate. In April the fist production aircraft was supplied to Armenia’s Armavia Airline.

Airbus and VEB-Leasing sign a memorandum of understanding

Zhukovsky/the Moscow region/, August 17, - PRIME. European Aircraft Manufacturing Concern Airbus signed a Memorandum of Understanding with VEB-Leasing on cooperation in financing and leasing aircraft, reports a correspondent of RIA Novosti.

The signing ceremony was held at the MAKS-2011.

Under the Memorandum Irius company and VEB-Leasing plan to exchange experience, expertise and information on financing and leasing aircraft including structuring of transactions on operational and financial leasing.

Under the Memorandum VEB-Leasing is to assist Russian and CIS airlines in raising funds for preliminary payments and payments upon supplying both new Airbus aircraft and aircraft from the secondary market with the participation of European export credit agencies.

OJSC VEB-Leasing was set up in 2003 on the initiative and with the participation of Rosoboronexport in order to make Russian manufactured products more competitive and to logistically and technically re-quip enterprises in the defense industrial complex and civilian mechanical engineering sector.
