In the course of the International Aerospace Salon in Le Bourget (France), State Corporation ‘Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank) and the Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia (OJSC) (OJSC RSC Energia) entered into an Agreement on Cooperation.
On behalf of Vnesheconombank the Agreement was signed by Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev and on behalf of OJSC RSC Energia – by Corporation President Vitaly Lopota.
The Agreement aims to establish strategic partnership and promote long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in implementing investment projects and programs in the rocket and space sector.
Under the Agreement the parties agreed to make joint efforts to implement investment projects and programs aimed at modernizing and upgrading the Russian rocket and space complex as well as at creating new space technologies, developing and manufacturing rocket and space products.
This Agreement’s implementation would make it possible to boost energy efficiency at enterprises incorporated in RSC Energia and would also encourage the export of Russian high technology products and services and enhance cooperative ties between participants in international space activity.
Open Joint Stock Company the Korolev Rocket and Space Corporation Energia is a Russian strategic company specializing in piloted space systems and working out new space technologies including automated various-purpose space systems and rocket systems for putting space vehicles on the orbit. The Corporation is a leader in introducing high – technology technologies for manufacturing non-space-oriented products.
