Vnesheconombank and Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations will colaborate on Northern Caucasus investment projects
In the course of XV St. Petersburg International Economic Forum State Corporation “Bank for Development and Foreign Economic Affairs (Vnesheconombank)” and Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (CDC) signed Amendment Cooperation Agreement.
The document was signed by Vnesheconombank Chairman Vladimir Dmitriev and Director of European and International Affairs of CDC Group Laurent Vigier.
The Agreement is aimed at establishing partnership in order to enhance the development of trade and economic relations between the Russian Federation and France and financing projects, implemented in the Northern Caucasus, including Sochi Winter Olympic Games projects and implemented by OJSC “Northern Caucasus Resorts”.
This Amendment Agreement was signed further to and for the purpose of fulfillment of joint statement of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev and the President of the French Republic Nicolas Sarcozy made on May 26, 2011 in Deauville relating to the issue of cooperation in implementation of the Strategy for Socio-Economic Development of the Northern Caucasus.
Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations is the French public development institution created in 1816 and controlled by the French Parliament.
Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations is one of the founders of the Long Term Investors’ Club with its head office in Paris, created in 2008 in order to unite the activities of the largest financial institutions and organizations. Vnesheconombank joined the Long Term Investors’ Club in 2009 as its full member.
